Meet Me At Reed Park Schedule: Family-Friendly Events
Check out the schedule of family-friendly activities during the months of September and October at Reed Park.
SANTA MONICA, CA — Meet Me at Reed, Santa Monica's outdoor cultural and recreational program is back with free events every Saturday in September and October 2019, the City of Santa Monica announced Tuesday.
"Come by to play, meet neighbors, and connect," the City said. "There will be new activities each week."
The events start at 3 p.m., and attendees are encouraged to bring picnic blankets, chairs and food. Pets are welcome.

Saturday, September 21

- Bruns Collective with Kevin Baché
- 3-5p.m. Free admission
- A variety of jazz standards, originals and pop hits re-imagined with Latin rhythmic influences and “Blood, Sweat & Tears” surrounding arrangements consisting of 3-horns, upright bass, guitar, piano, powerful vocals, virtuoso instrumental and scat solos throughout featuring vocalist Kevin Bachelder.
- Pre-concert activities for all ages begin at 3 p.m.
Saturday, September 28
- Eco Friendly Day/Music by Todd Washington (TMax) Trio
- 3-5 p.m., Free admission
- Enjoy a pop-up cardboard playground, reptile displays, community garden workshops and more.
- TMax Trio - Perhaps it’s his personality that draws in the audience – easy-going, soulful, with a big heart. And perhaps that’s why he refers to his music as “heart and soul.” Because it doesn’t fit into any one style – it’s born of blues and jazz and pop and folk and a dozen other genres – but it’s more than the sum of its influences. It’s music from the heart. Music from the soul.
Saturday, October 5
- Family Fun Games with City Class and Camp Instructors
- 3-5 p.m., Free admission
- Get active with the City of Santa Monica’s Community Classes and Camps Program instructors. Demonstrations for the day in fun filled activities from, art to dance to science and engineering and all kinds of fun sports. Also, come and participate in a live demonstration of Pickleball one of Santa Monica’s fastest growing sports for people of all ages.
Saturday, October 12
- “The Movement” Featuring Anacron & Special Guests
- 3-5 p.m. Free admission
- A family-friendly, daytime event, during which featured instructors teach an all-levels lesson in a specialty dance style. - Provide a space for an open-format dance party, with featured DJ’s playing varied genres of dance music for participants to enjoy in a fun, safe, all-ages and family-friendly setting.
- Pre-concert activities for all ages begin at 3 p.m.
Saturday, October 19
- Santa Monica High School Choir
- 3-5 p.m. Free admission
- The Samohi Choir - The renowned Santa Monica High School Choir performs broad repertoire of popular music in a large groups, as well as soloists, duets and smaller ensembles.
- Pre-concert activities for all ages begin at 3 p.m.
Saturday, October 26
- Bounce-A-Mania (Bounce House Fun for Kids)
- 3-5 p.m., Free admission
- Reed Park turns into a “Bounce-A-Mania” Park as we transform the grass area into a Bounce House fun zone. Age appropriate Bounce Houses for youth ages 12 and under. Come bounce with us!
