Pacific Pier Ferris Wheel To Have Fourth Of July Light Show
The 174,000 LED lights will feature custom lighting of red, white and blue colors, patterns and transitions to entertain guests.

SANTA MONICA, CA — Pacific Park's Ferris Wheel is set to light up with a waving American flag on the Fourth of July. The 174,000 LED lights will also feature custom lighting of red, white and blue colors, patterns and transitions to entertain guests, according to the Pacific Park press release.
The Pacific Wheel is the world's "only solar-powered Ferris wheel," the press release said.
"The Ferris wheel's lighting system features 16.7 million color value combinations to display dynamic, custom, computer-generated lighting entertainment," the Pacific Park press release said. "The eco-friendly, enhanced LED lighting provides 81 percent greater energy savings than most Ferris wheel’s traditional incandescent bulbs."

The Ferris wheel is nine stories high and takes riders more than 130 feet above the Pacific Ocean to offer views of the Southern California coastline from its location on the popular Santa Monica Pier.
The Independence Day celebration will be displayed on the Ferris Wheel from July 4 through July 7 from sunset (about 8:09 p.m.) to 12:30 a.m. Pacific Park is located at 380 Santa Monica Pier, Santa Monica, CA 90401.
