Police Ask For Help Identifying Man Caught On Video After Santa Monica Assault
Police are asking for the public's help identifying a man wanted in connection with an assault in downtown Santa Monica.

SANTA MONICA, CA — Police on Tuesday asked for the public's help in identifying a man wanted in connection to an assault that occurred in downtown Santa Monica last month.
The assault occurred on Sept. 22 at around 12:35 a.m. near the 1400 block of Alley 5. Detectives are asking for the public's help because they've "exhausted other methods" of identifying the man, according to the Santa Monica Police Department.
The suspect, who is not believed to be homeless, was last seen fleeing the area eastbound on Santa Monica Boulevard toward 7th Street. He's shown in surveillance video running barefoot, police said.

He's described as a man between 25 and 35 years old with bleached blond hair, a black beard and tattoos on both biceps and forearms.
