Police Ask Public's Help For Pedestrian Hit-And-Run On Westside
Los Angeles police are asking the public to help identify a suspect or suspects who hit and injured a pedestrian in Brentwood this month.
BRENTWOOD, CA — Los Angeles police are asking the public's help to identify a suspect or suspects who hit and seriously injured a pedestrian in Brentwood this month.
The hit-and-run was reported about 10:10 a.m. March 6 while the victim was walking northbound on Carmelina Avenue and was struck by a suspect's vehicle who was driving eastbound on Sunset Boulevard.
"The impact caused the pedestrian to fall and collide with the roadway," police said. "The driver of the suspect’s vehicle exited the car, approached the pedestrian, returned to his vehicle, and fled without identifying themselves or attempting to render aid to the victim as required by law."

The victim sustained severe injuries and was hospitalized. The victim is described as an elderly female.
The suspect’s vehicle is described as a gray older model sedan.

Drivers involved in a collision should pull over and stop as soon as it is safe to do so, notify emergency services and stay at the crash to identify who they are, authorities said.
A reward of up to $25,000 is available to community members who provide information leading to the offender’s identification, apprehension, and conviction or resolution through a civil compromise, police said. This is part of the city's Hit and Run Reward Program Trust Fund, which was created in April 2015.
