Recording Academy Announces First Round of Artists Performing at Grammy Awards Show
John Legend, Metallica, Carrie Underwood and Keith Urban will perform during the show, the Santa Monica-based organization said.

SANTA MONICA, CA -- The first batch of artists performing at the 59th annual Grammy Awards was announced Wednesday by The Recording Academy.
John Legend, Metallica, Carrie Underwood and Keith Urban will perform during the telecast, which will be held Feb. 12 at the Staples Center.
Legend is a 10-time Grammy winner. Metallica has eight Grammys, while Urban has four.

Underwood is nominated this year for best country solo performance for "Church Bells." Metallica's James Hetfield and Lars Ulrich are nominated for best rock song for "Hardwired" and Urban is nominated for best country album for "Ripcord" and best country solo performance for "Blue Ain't Your Color."
The Grammy ceremony will be hosted by James Corden.
