Hudson, a custodial operations manager, was shot just before 10 p.m. Monday at the college's Center for Media & Design by Davon Durell Dean, 39, a custodian at the college, authorities said.
Dean fled the scene and remained at large for less than a day, until police in Hawthorne spotted his car and briefly pursued him leading up to a standoff Tuesday afternoon. Dean fatally shot himself inside his car, police said.
The investigation into the circumstances surrounding the case remains ongoing, police said.
All of the college's campuses were closed Tuesday in response to the shooing, and operations will remain online until at least Sunday.
