SANTA MONICA, CA -- Santa Monica High School was under a brief lockdown Monday afternoon as police were searching for two suspects considered accomplices to an armed robbery in the area, a Santa Monica Police watch commander said.

The crime occurred around 12:10 p.m. across the street from the campus, which is in the 600 block of Pico Boulevard, the Santa Monica Police Department reported. Students were not in any danger, the watch commander said.
