Santa Monica Man Stabbed In Head On Christmas Eve

The man sustained serious injuries to his face as well as stab wounds on his forehead, neck and back according to Santa Monica police.

SANTA MONICA, CA — A Santa Monica man sustained serious injuries from being stabbed in the head and other places in his own apartment on Christmas Eve, according to police.

The Santa Monica Police Department received a report about an assault in progress at an apartment in the 1400 block of 14th Street at about 11:26 p.m. on Dec. 24. When officers arrived, they found the resident with serious injuries to his face and stab wounds in his forehead, neck and back.

"The victim was still conscious and able to describe his attacker, who is known to him," SMPD said in a statement.

A witness flagged down SMPD officers to tell them they had heard the argument before the incident and recognized the suspect, who police identified as 29-year-old Christopher Clay Williams.

Police located Williams in the 1300 block of Alley 14 and arrested him on suspicion of attempted homicide. The victim was transported to a local hospital and his current condition is unknown.
