Santa Monica To Participate In National Night Out
Here's everything you need to know about National Night Out in Santa Monica.
SANTA MONICA, CA — The Santa Monica community is invited to join Chief Renaud, the Santa Monica Police Department and thousands of communities nationwide to celebrate National Night Out on Tuesday, August 6.
"This police-community partnership event involves over 16,500 communities from all 50 states, U.S. territories, Canadian cities and military bases around the world gathering together one night," SMPD said. "National Night Out is an opportunity for the Santa Monica Police Department to celebrate the exceptional relationship our police and community share together."
This event is designed to serve as a reminder to all of the joint power in working together in a community.

Santa Monica's event, with the theme "Heart of the City," will be held in front City Hall (located at 1685 Main Street) from 5:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. The event will include SMPD showcasing police vehicles and equipment, meetings with police personnel, music, community art, free food, and family-friendly activities including a photo booth, giant lawn games, Lego heart exchange, Santa Monica Rocks decorating, e-scooter safety demonstrations, and more.
Validated parking will be available in the Civic Center Parking Structure located directly across the street from the Public Safety Building, although sustainable transportation options are encouraged.
