Santa Monica Pier's Ferris Wheel Celebrates Workers For Labor Day Weekend
The Ferris wheel on the Santa Monica Pier will light up especially for Labor Day weekend.

SANTA MONICA, CA — The Ferris wheel on the Santa Monica Pier will light up with a patriotic display as part of a tribute to American workers on Labor Day weekend.
The wheel will feature a 90-foot American flag animation accompanied by a programming of red, white and blue colors and patterns from sunset to midnight Friday through Monday.
The Ferris wheel, known as the Pacific Wheel, features 174,000 LED lights, which are mounted on the wheel's 40 spokes, two hubs and other parts of the structure. That all helps create 16.7 million color value combinations.
