SANTA MONICA, CA — Santa Monica police Thursday asked the public's help to identify robbery suspects connected to an incident last month.

A woman parked her car and was standing on the sidewalk in the 1500 block of 6th Street, near Broadway, about 8:50 p.m. on Aug. 20 when a suspect came up from behind her and grabbed her purse, police said. During the struggle, she was pulled to the ground and into the street.

"The suspect was seen on CCTV footage running towards a red SUV occupied by two additional individuals," police said.

Detectives later located additional footage captured when the suspects allegedly attempted to use the victim’s credit card at a 21 Liquor Mart located at 1732 W. Rosecrans Ave. in Gardena.
