SMC To Host Faculty Job Fair & Open House

The annual event offers the opportunity to meet faculty in all departments and find out more about Santa Monica College.

SANTA MONICA, CA — Santa Monica College (SMC) will hold its second annual Faculty Job Fair & Open House on Friday, October 4, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The free event will explain the application process and how to "navigate a path to a future at SMC," the press release said.

The annual event offers the opportunity to meet faculty in all departments and find out more about Santa Monica College. Informational workshops will be held at 10:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m., and will focus on explaining SMC’s recruitment and application processes.

Workshop panelists will discuss their experiences and offer tips leading to a successful recruitment process, the press release said. Each workshop will last about one hour, and includes the opportunity to ask questions. No sign-up is necessary to attend, and seating is on a first-come basis.

Tours of the main SMC campus will also be offered every 30 minutes starting at 10:30 a.m., with the final tour at 1:30 p.m. Participants are encouraged to wear comfortable walking shoes, SMC said.

Free parking is available in SMC Parking Structure #1 (entry from Pico Blvd. at 18th Street) and in SMC Parking Structures #3 and #4 (entry at 16th Street from Pico Blvd.). Parking is allowed in student parking spaces only. Other ways to reach the main SMC campus can be found at smc.edu/transportation.
