Teen Shoots Man Multiple Times At Santa Monica Beach: Police
An argument at the beach turned violent in Santa Monica over the weekend, police said.

SANTA MONICA, CA — A 19-year-old man is in custody after he shot another man several times at the beach during an argument over the weekend, the Santa Monica Police Department said Thursday.
The incident occurred on the beach near Ocean Avenue and Pico Boulevard around 1:30 a.m. Sunday, police said.
Witnesses told police that 19-year-old Isaac Santiago Ramos of Van Nuys, along with four other young men, approached two of the victim's friends while they were sitting near the beach when an argument ensued. The victim, a 24-year-old man, attempted to intervene when Ramos pulled out a handgun. Ramos shot the man several times before fleeing, police said.

One of the victim's friends called 911. When police arrived they detained several people as they attempted to leave, other officers provided first aid to the victim, who was suffering from several gunshot wounds, police said.
One of the people detained was Ramos, who was found to be in possession of a concealed handgun, police said.

The victim, who has not been publicly identified, was transported to a local hospital for treatment. He was in serious but stable condition as of Thursday, police said.
Ramos was arraigned on Tuesday on charges of attempted murder, mayhem, carrying a concealed firearm, carrying a loaded firearm and resisting arrest. He remains held on $4.105 million bail, police said.
