Three Burglary Suspects Arrested In Santa Monica
Santa Monica police arrested three suspects on suspicion of attempted burglary Friday, officials said.
SANTA MONICA, CA — Three burglary suspects who attempted to run away from Santa Monica police officers were arrested Friday on suspicion of burglary, having burglary tools and resisting or delaying arrest, officials told Patch. Police say they could be connected to other burglaries in the area.
A resident reported that people were trespassing in the 500 block of Wilshire Boulevard, near 5th Street, according to the Santa Monica Police Department. Officers watched three people emerge from a building in the area. The suspects then ran away while trying to discard stolen property.
After a foot pursuit, officers detained all three without incident, in the 1200 block of 5th Street, police said.

The suspects had various burglary tools, including a hand saw, bolt cutters, channel lock pliers, screwdrivers and master keys, police said. Two of the suspects were also in possession of handheld two-way radios.
"Officers believe these individuals were responsible for other burglaries in the area," Santa Monica Police Lt. Rudy Flores said. "All three suspects had prior theft-related arrests and convictions."

Rudy Leonel Barrios, 30, of Los Angeles, was arrested on suspicion of burglary, possession of burglary tools, possession of Methamphetamine, conspiracy and obstruction of resist/delay/obstruction of arrest.
Eduardo Manzo Rangel, 23, of Los Angeles, was arrested on suspicion of burglary, possession of burglary tools, conspiracy and resist/delay/obstruction of arrest.
Miguel Eduardo Barrientos, 32, of Inglewood, was arrested on suspicion of burglary, possession of burglary tools, conspiracy, possession of drug paraphernalia and resist/delay/obstruction of arrest.
