Two men from Santa Monica came in one-two at this past weekend’s Homeboy Industries 5K.
Sean Gildea clinched first place with a time of 15:05 and Owen Kiely was four seconds behind.
Homeboy Industries Founder Father Greg Boyle joined more than 2,000 participants to make the 5-kilometer journey around the streets of Homeboy headquarters. Homeboy is the largest and most successful gang intervention, rehabilitation and re-entry program in the country.
