Victim Stabbed At Santa Monica Metro Station Platform

A person was stabbed at a Santa Monica Metro station platform this week, according to police.

SANTA MONICA, CA — A person was stabbed at a Santa Monica Metro station platform Tuesday night, according to police.

The stabbing happened about 9:25 p.m. Tuesday at the 26th Street / Bergamot Station, according to the Santa Monica Police Department.

Officers arrived at the train station and found a victim suffering from stab wounds, Santa Monica Police Lt. Rudy Flores told Patch.

Santa Monica Fire Department responded with medical assistance and took the victim to a hospital, Flores said. Los Angeles County Sherriff Department officials arrived and took over the investigation because the incident occurred on the Metro train, which falls under the sheriff's department's jurisdiction.

The stabbing victim's age was not disclosed.
