Website for Adulterers: Santa Monica Has Plenty of Cheaters

What's more alarming, that there are online dating services just for people who want to cheat on their partners, or that lots of Santa Monica residents use the websites?

The Los Angeles Times reported Friday that in Los Angeles, Santa Monica has the highest number of people signed up for AshleyMadison.com, self-described as "the world's leading married dating service for discreet encounters."

This after Chemistry.com says Santa Monica residents , second only to our neighbors in Venice. We're about to start a new column titled, "Keep Your Pants On, Santa Monica."

Of AshleyMadison.com's 14 million members worldwide (registration is free) more than 475,000 are reportedly Angelenos. Behind Santa Monica for highest number of users in the county are Sherman Oaks, Brentwood, Beverly Hills and Calabasas, according to the Times.
