'Whitey' Bulger Examined Briefly at Boston Hospital
The Boston Globe reports that Bulger was "quietly examined" last Thursday, then promptly returned to his jail cell.

Mobster was returned to his segregated unit at the Plymouth County House of Correction after a brief hospital examination last week, the Boston Globe reported Wednesday evening.
It was unclear why Bulger visited the Boston hospital last Thursday, but the visit was short—he was reportedly returned to his jail cell the same day.
The 81-year-old mobster hid out in Santa Monica for years . The former head of Boston's notorious Winter Hill Gang and FBI informant from South Boston disappeared in the mid-1990s and became one of the FBI's most wanted fugitives.

According to the Globe:
