On Saturday, Waste Management of San Diego employees joined the City of Santee to celebrate earth at their annual tree planting event, SanTree Fest.
The team hosted a booth where residents dropped off household batteries for proper disposal and learned more about recycling in Santee.

“We look forward to this event every year,” said Eloisa Orozco of Waste Management. “We enjoy connecting with the families that we serve”.
Attendees also posed for pictures in Waste Management’s mini-truck, which is always popular with Santee youth and the young at heart and received a sneak peek about a new recycling rewards program coming soon to Santee.
