
A house fire on Nyler Court in Santee was quickly contained by firefighters Tuesday afternoon, according to a report by UT San Diego.
Santee Fire Chief Bob Leigh told the newspaper that no one was home when the fire erupted at about 2:30 p.m. It took firefighters about 15 minutes to contain the fire to the garage and extinguish it.
The house suffered about $35,000 in damages and the cause is unknown, but under investigation.
