LEMON GROVE, CA — A man was shot and killed Wednesday night in San Diego's East County, authorities said Thursday.
Deputies responded to reports of gun shots shortly before 11 p.m. Wednesday in the 2200 block of Dain Court in Lemon Grove, according to the San Diego County Sheriff's Department.
They found a 23-year-old man lying in the street with at least one gunshot wound to his torso. He was pronounced dead at the scene, Lt. Michael Krugh said.

No arrests have been made. No suspect information was available.
"Sheriff's homicide investigators are working to gather more information to determine the circumstances and motivation behind this death," Krugh said. "The investigation is ongoing."
