Man Shot In East County Restaurant Parking Lot
Deputies found a 24-year-old man suffering from gunshot wounds in Lakeside, authorities said.
LAKESIDE, CA — A man was wounded Monday in a shooting in San Diego's East County, authorities said.
Deputies responded to a report of a shooting shortly after midnight in the 12000 block of Woodside Avenue in Lakeside, according to the San Diego County Sheriff's Department.
Deputies found a 24-year-old man suffering from gunshot wounds, Detective Colby Trim said. He was taken to the hospital, where he was admitted in stable condition.

"Based on a preliminary investigation by deputies, it appears the victim was shot by an unknown suspect in a nearby restaurant parking lot," Trim said. "At this time, it is not known what led to the shooting."
