Spend your Fourth of July at Town Center Park East at the city's annual Santee Salutes event. Families who attend the event can expect live music, entertainment, carnival games, inflatable attractions and traditional Fourth food starting at 3:30 p.m.
A firework show will begin at 9 p.m. Music during the evening will be provided by 80s tribute band 80z All Stars and a special performance by Miramar's colorguard will be given. There will be the plethoria of food trucks, offering up everything from tasty barbecue to exotic Thai and in between.
Though this event is offered free to residents, parking is $5 or $15 for preferred parking.
Families looking for a way to reduce their trips back and forth to the car can reserve a 10 foot by 10 foot canopy in a prime viewing area close to preferred parking.
