1920 Nippon Mura

The Japanese villa Nippon Mura was located mid way between Los Gatos and Saratoga on the highway.

Founded by the widow of a sea captain, Nippon Mura was a popular hostelry during the first third of the 20th century.

Patrons arrived in horse-drawn vehicles and by the Interurban street car line.
