Pam Klaus, a longtime fundraising and marketing professional, has taken over as the Executive Director of Cancer CAREpoint, a 501(c) (3) nonprofit based in San Jose.

Pam joined Cancer CAREpoint in 2024, bringing with her strong leadership skills and a history in revitalizing non-profit programs and facilities. With over 14 years of local non-profit experience, Pam began as the Marketing and Fund Development Director but quickly proved that her multifaceted skill set could be applied in a much larger capacity.

In addition to overseeing the day-to-day, Pam will also help develop new strategies focusing on Cancer CAREpoint’s growth and management with its clients, volunteers, board, and donors.

“I am so thrilled to be stepping into this role where I can continue to serve our community and help those impacted by cancer,” said Klaus. “This is such meaningful work to me, and I’m grateful for the opportunity to be a part of this dynamic team.”

Founded in 2010 by local community and healthcare leaders, Cancer CAREpoint was created in response to a critical gap in psychosocial and practical support for cancer patients, survivors, and families.

Since opening the Cancer CAREpoint Resource Center in San Jose, the organization has served over 12,000 individuals. The non-profit provides emergency funding support, professional counseling, support groups, nutrition education, wig fittings, and health and wellness classes.
