• Two incidents of identity theft reported in Saratoga (mercurynews.com) — Recent sheriff’s reports detail two separate identity theft cases involving Saratoga residents, plus a large fraudulent credit card charge of nearly $5,000. Deputies also responded to a reported battery on Shadow Oaks Way, with the case now headed to the District Attorney for review. Stay alert about sharing personal and financial information, especially over the phone.
