Saratoga Quarry Park Master Plan Meeting Tonight
A five-minute video helps viewers learn some history about the Quarry, see its current condition, and hear about possible future changes and improvements.

The City of Saratoga Parks and Recreation Commission will hold a workshop to inform residents about the Saratoga Quarry Park Master Plan and seek input and ideas for future development at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, July 9 at the Joan Pisani Community Center, 19655 Allendale Ave.
The city purchased the 64-acre Quarry property, located on Highway 9 near the Historic Saratoga Village and Hakone Gardens, from Santa Clara County in 2011 in partnership with the Midpeninsula Regional Open Space Authority.
Government officials are just beginning a community planning process to create a vision that will guide the development of the new Quarry Park.
The goal of the planning process is to work closely with the community to develop a park that will promote public access and recreation, encourage resource protection and develop important local and regional trail connections.
In the attached YouTube video prepared by city officials, Saratoga Councilman Howard Miller acts as the host of a tour of the property answering questions commonly asked by the public.
The five-minute video was shot in May of 2013 and Miller begins his explanation of the project at 21330 Big Basin Way, less than a mile away from downtown Saratoga.
