• Sausalito will use planning software to protect views (marinij.com) — Sausalito is moving ahead with new objective design rules and a custom “ViewSync” software tool to limit how much new multi-unit buildings can block neighbors’ bay and skyline views. The City Council unanimously approved a first reading, tying view protections to state housing requirements while debating whether the still‑beta software is ready for prime time. Final adoption will determine how quickly future projects are approved and how well cherished vistas are preserved.
