Backpack Found With Ecstasy, Mushrooms, Pot

Scotts Valley Police found a deserted backpack Tuesday night filled with drugs and cash. They'll be happy to have the owner claim it.

SCOTTS VALLEY - Scotts Valley Police stumbled onto a backpack Tuesday night filled with Ecstasy, psilocybin mushrooms, marijuana and a large amount of cash.

In a post on their Facebook site, police say during a routine night patrol, an officer spotted a deserted backpack.

Finding no one around, the officer checked inside the backpack, hoping to find identification leading to an owner.

Once opened, police say the officer discovered over 100 MDMA (Ecstasy) capsules, psilocybin mushrooms (psychedelic mushrooms), packaged marijuana and cash.

No identification was found in the backpack.

Police are hoping the owner will come in to claim it.
