Hit-And-Run Suspect Sought by Scotts Valley Police
Police said the suspect damaged a traffic signal Tuesday night.
SCOTTS VALLEY, CA — Police are asking for help in identifying the suspect in a hit-and-run traffic crash that damaged a traffic signal in Scotts Valley on Tuesday night, police said. Officers responded at 10 p.m. Tuesday to Scotts Valley Drive and Carbonero Way after someone called to say some traffic signals were not working.
The officers who responded found a traffic signal on the ground with extensive damage as well as parts from a motor vehicle. Surveillance video footage from a nearby business showed a vehicle
traveling south on Scotts Valley Drive.
The vehicle went onto the sidewalk, hit the traffic signal and the driver fled, according to police. The vehicle may be a dark green Toyota Camry Solara with significant front-end damage, police said.
