• Group connects LGBTQ people to the outdoors (ebar.com) — A Scotts Valley resident is leading Branching Out Adventures, a nonprofit that creates LGBTQ-inclusive hikes and camping trips across Bay Area parks and the Sierra. Recent outings have included a Halloween night hike above Palo Alto, with more trips and tide-pool events planned for late December and early January. Locals interested in queer-friendly nature experiences can join or volunteer for future programs.
