Vegetation Fire Erupts In Scotts Valley
The fire erupted inside Henry Cowell Redwoods State Park, police said.

SCOTTS VALLEY, CA -- A vegetation fire erupted Monday afternoon at Henry Cowell Redwoods State Park in Scotts Valley, prompting authorities to advise the public to briefly avoid the area.
The fire, which was reported around 3:30 p.m., was approximately one-fourth of an acre, prompting a response from multiple resources, according to Cal Fire officials.
About an hour later, the fire was contained but crews were expected to stay on site until 8 p.m. to mop up, officials said.

Scotts Valley Police asked the public to briefly avoid Graham Hill Road as firefighters worked to contain the blaze.
