101 Freeway SigAlert: Fallen Tree Topples Onto Truck
A large tree fell onto a vehicle at the Canoga Avenue onramp to the Ventura (101) Freeway in Woodland Hills Tuesday, backing up traffic.
LOS ANGELES, CA — Amid torrential rain and intense wind gusts, a tree toppled onto a vehicle at the Canoga Avenue onramp to the Ventura (101) Freeway in Woodland Hills Tuesday morning, prompting the California Highway Patrol to issue a SigAlert for the freeway.
The SigAlert was issued for the southbound 101 lanes shortly before 9 a.m. Tuesday because the toppled tree blocked the onramp and the right side of the freeway, according to the CHP.
