Eastbound 101 Freeway Backed Up After Car Crash

SHERMAN OAKS, CA — A car crash involving two vehicles is currently slowing traffic on the U.S. State Route 101 East. The collision was reported around 1:04 p.m. near the Hayvenhurst Avenue exit, according to California Highway Patrol.

CHP said two cars crashed into each other in an outer lane on the freeway. The cars moved to the right shoulder and the American Automobile Association was sent to assist with the damage.

It's unknown if anyone was injured in the crash. A live traffic map showed a moderate slowdown backed up to Tampa Avenue.
