SHERMAN OAKS, CA — The Metro G Line (Orange) could see delays starting Monday as the Metro embarks on an improvement project, according to The Source.

Crossing gate testing at the Hayvenhurst Avenue pedestrian crossing will force the G Line to detour onto Victory Boulevard between Balboa Boulevard and Woodley Avenue. The stops at Balboa Boulevard in both directions will be moved from the Orange Line Busway to Victory Boulevard, and the westbound stop at Woodley Avenue will move to Victory Boulevard.

The work will be done on the weekdays between 6 p.m. and 12 a.m. from Monday through Nov. 19.

The testing is part of a G Line improvement project that will continue through 2026. The project will eventually give the G Line "railroad-style crossing gates" to make pedestrians safer, The Source reported.

The G Line just became the first 100% electric line in the county.
