Heavy Congestion On Westbound 101 Freeway After Car Crash

An ambulance was sent to the scene to treat children who were injured in the crash.

SHERMAN OAKS, CA — A car crash on U.S. Route 101 westbound is causing a traffic slowdown in the valley. The collision took place near White Oak Ave around 2:31 p.m. according to California Highway Patrol.

An initial report said a gray Honda and a white Ford got into a collision on the freeway. Callers requested an ambulance to respond to the scene for children who were injured in the crash.

The cars were moved to the right shoulder, CHP said. A tow truck and ambulance were en route to the scene of the crash.
