Interstate 405 North Backed Up After Traffic Collision

SHERMAN OAKS, CA — A car crash on Interstate 405 North has caused a traffic slowdown in Sherman Oaks. The collision took place near the Burbank Boulevard exit around 3 p.m. according to California Highway Patrol.

According to CHP, the crash involved a white sedan and a black car. The black car was blocking the HOV lane, while another car was facing the wrong way in a middle lane on the freeway.

An ambulance was sent to the scene to treat for injuries. A live traffic map showed heavy congestion on Interstate 405 North backed up to Mulholland Drive.
