Major Congestion On 405 North After Car Crash

SHERMAN OAKS, CA — A car crash caused a traffic slowdown on the northbound 405 Thursday afternoon. The collision happened around 2:15 p.m. near the Mulholland Drive exit.

Initial details from California Highway Patrol said a green sports car crashed into an unknown car and was blocking the middle lanes. CHP cars were en route to the scene as of 2:40 p.m.

A live traffic map at Go511.com showed very heavy congestion all the way back to Sunset Boulevard, but easing up shortly after passing the accident.
