Missing Man With Dementia Last Seen In San Fernando Valley: Police

LOS ANGELES, CA — A Silver Alert has been issued as police seek the public’s help to find a 59-year-old man with dementia who went missing Saturday in the San Fernando Valley, according to authorities.

Jorge Mejia was last seen around 2:30 p.m. Saturday in the 4900 block of Van Nuys Boulevard in Sherman Oaks, police said, adding that Mejia resides in an assisted living facility in the 13500 block of Sherman Way in Van Nuys.

Mejia has black hair and brown eyes, and was last seen wearing a dark blue shirt and black sandals, according to police, who said he weighs about 145 pounds and stands 5 feet, 3 inches tall.
