"ONE FOR MY BABY" A World Premiere Musical at El Portal 3/20-3/23 ONLY

You don't have to travel 3,000 miles to catch the epitome of excellence in musical theatre on Broadway. It's right here in our own backyard on the Debbie Reynolds Main Stage at El Portal Theatre, 5269 Lankershim Blvd., in NoHo.

The All Roads Theatre Company (Mack & Mable, Broadway Showstoppers, Anyone Can Whistle) has hit another home run with the marvelous magnum opus, "ONE FOR MY BABY," featuring music by Harold Arlen with lyrics by Ted Koehler, Johnny Mercer, E.Y. Harburg, and Ira Gershwin. Who could ask for anything more?!

This stellar sterling spectacle had me at hello with an A+ ace adept adroit astonishing astounding work of art. Expect to be knocked off your seat while grinning with glee from ear to ear, head to toe, inside and out. A commanding compelling charismatic cast of triple threats will keep you mesmerized, riveted, enthralled and exhilarated.

Especially during these troubled times, we need more than ever, the majestic magic of a master musical to lift our spirits, illuminate our minds, touch our hearts, soothe our soul, and brighten our nights.

Nobody does it better than the top notch terrific tantalizing talented team of Scott Thompson (producer, director, choreographer, book by) and Fred Barton (producer, conductor, arranger, book by). Together they are a force to be reckoned with.

Broadway stars Lana Gordon (Hadestown, Chicago) and Luba Mason (Jekyll and Hyde, How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying) lead an ensemble of 29 other accomplished acclaimed artists, supported by an 11-piece Big Band, a captivating character in itself, of master maestros who are all consummate pros.

The score includes classics such as Stormy Weather, That Old Black Magic, Get Happy, Come Rain or Shine, and the title tune, One for My Baby, to name a few.Costume

Designer Shon LeBlanc raises the bar with stunning striking smashing garb from the 40's in a tale of lust, heartbreak, greed, and redemption. You will feel transported into delightfully divine drama, intoxicating intrigue, glamorous glitter, jovial jazz, and fabulous film-noir.
