Seven People Injured In 405 Freeway Pileup
The three-car crash shut down two lanes on the southbound 405 freeway Sunday afternoon, and seven people were taken to the hospital.
VAN NUYS, CA — Seven people were injured in a three-car pileup on the southbound 405 Freeway in Van Nuys Sunday evening, shutting down two freeway lanes for almost an hour.
The crash happened near the Sherman Way exit around 4:35 p.m. Sunday, according to California Highway Patrol and Nicholas Prange of the Los Angeles Fire Department. All seven victims were taken to the hospital, and were in moderate condition according to Prange.
CHP issued a SigAlert shutting down the Nos. 3 and 4 southbound lanes at 5:18 p.m. The alert was cancelled at 6:02 p.m.
