SigAlert: Overturned Big Rig Shuts Down 405/101 Transition
The California Highway Patrol is warning commuters to find alternate routes around the gridlock in the Sherman Oaks area.
SHERMAN OAKS, CA — A big rig crash shut down the Ventura (101) Freeway transition to the San Diego (405) Freeway Wednesday afternoon. The California Highway Patrol issued a SigAlert shortly after 2 p.m. for an unknown duration.
The southbound 101 Freeway transition to the northbound 405 Freeway in the Sherman Oaks area will be closed indefinitely due to an overturned big rig, according to the CHP. Debris was scattered across the lanes, the CHP reported.
No injuries have been reported in the crash.
