The center is located at 5056 Van Nuys Blvd., and will be open from noon to 8 p.m. Friday through Monday. Capacity will be limited in order to maintain social distancing. The Department of Recreation and Parks urges area residents to call ahead of time to ensure there is space. You can call the East Valley Adult Center at 818-386-9674. The City of Los Angeles will open community cooling centers throughout the region to keep residents from heat-related illnesses.
