Woman Critically Hurt In 101 Freeway Crash In Sherman Oaks

SHERMAN OAKS, CA — A woman was critically injured Monday in a multi- vehicle crash on the westbound Ventura (101) Freeway in Sherman Oaks.

The collision, which involved at least one truck, was reported shortly after 8 a.m. near Sepulveda Boulevard, according to the Los Angeles Fire Department and the California Highway Patrol.

The woman, who was trapped in a vehicle before being freed by firefighters, was taken to a hospital in critical condition, the LAFD reported.

A person who was in a different vehicle was taken to a hospital for a medical assessment, the LAFD reported. The circumstances of the crash were under investigation.
