Sonoma County House Fire Results in 1 Hospitalization After Rescue
A man was hospitalized for minor burns and possible smoke inhalation after firefighters escorted him out of a burning house in Santa Rosa.

SONOMA COUNTY, CA -- A man who was rescued by firefighters after he rushed back into a burning home was hospitalized Feb. 16 for minor burns and possible smoke inhalation.
Emergency crews responded to a residential structure fire in the 3000 block of Hoen Avenue in Santa Rosa at 3:49 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 16, where they found a one-story house with a heavy fire burning in the garage.
After being told that one of the house's occupants may have gone back into the burning building, firefighters searched for the man, found him stranded in the living room, and escorted him outside.

It took about 20 minutes to bring the fire under control, and crews were able to prevent the fire from spreading into the house's living area.
Damage to the home was estimated at $75,000. The cause, fire officials say, remains under investigation.
