1 Killed, 2 Injured In 2-Vehicle North Bay Crash
The driver, who CHP accused of being under the influence of unspecified drugs, was placed under arrest but remained hospitalized.
SONOMA COUNTY, CA — One person died and two others were hospitalized in a traffic collision west of Santa Rosa on Saturday night.
The collision occurred at about 9:15 p.m. on state Highway 116 in the Santa Rosa area, according to a press release from the California Highway Patrol.
CHP said preliminary information suggested that a man driving eastbound in a Honda CRV lost control and went into the westbound lanes, resulting in a crash that killed a woman riding with him in the passenger seat.

The two were taken to a hospital, along with the driver of the other vehicle, a Lincoln Zephyr.
The CRV's passenger was declared dead at the hospital.
