2 Mini Horses Killed By Reckless Driver After Car Slams Into Barn: Authorities

A driver lost control of their vehicle and struck and killed 2 horses Saturday morning in Sonoma County, according to sheriff's officials.

SONOMA COUNTY, CA -- A driver lost control of their vehicle and struck and killed two horses early Saturday morning in Sonoma County, according to sheriff's officials.

At about 2 a.m. on April 15, the suspect was allegedly driving recklessly in the 10100 block of Minnesota Avenue in Penngrove, when he or she allegedly lost control of their vehicle and slammed into a barn where mini horses were kept, officials say.

According to the Sonoma County Sheriff's Office, the driver struck and killed two mini horses, then fled the scene.

California Highway Patrol officials are investigating and have said the suspect vehicle may be a Honda with major damage.
