What you’ll Create
Discover
the joy of tap dancing in our Beginner Tap Dance class, designed for
children aged 6 to 10 years! This class introduces students to the
fundamentals of tap dance while fostering rhythm, coordination, and
confidence in a fun and supportive environment. Dancers will learn
foundational steps such as shuffles, flaps, and cramp rolls, building
towards simple combinations and routines. Through engaging exercises and
dynamic music, students will develop timing, musicality, and precision.
Perfect
for beginners or those with some experience, this class encourages
creativity and self-expression while building essential dance skills.
Step into the world of tap and let the rhythm move you!
No prior experience required—just bring your tap shoes and enthusiasm to dance!
Recital on Saturday, March 21st. More info on recital soon.
Required Supply List
Tap
shoes of any color and style, Comfortable clothing to move in or
dance-wear such as leotards, skirts, skirted leotards and tights (with
shoes) of any color or style. Please no tutus or pajamas in class. Hair
pulled off face. Dress in layers as it can go from chilly to warm fast!
Being dressed and ready for class is part of the experience and
encourages focus and participation.
You can find tap shoes at Discount Dance Supply , Amazon, Capezio, and Bloch and
sometimes Target for Kid’s sizes. Any color and style will do. Not
necessary for the first class, may wear hard soled shoes.
