CHP Identifies Woman Who Died in Crash Near Santa Rosa

Sheryl Marie Greenlee of Windsor lost control of her car and struck a tree on Sunday.

Bay City News report

A woman who died in a crash on a highway off-ramp near Santa Rosa on Sunday morning has been identified by the Sonoma County coroner's office as 53-year-old Sheryl Marie Greenlee, of Windsor.

Greenlee was driving a 1994 Ford Mustang on the Fulton Road off-ramp from southbound U.S. Highway 101 when she lost control of the car and struck a tree around 8:40 a.m., CHP Officer James Evans said.

CHP officials said it appears Greenlee was driving too fast for the inclement weather and was not wearing a seatbelt.

Alcohol is not believed to have been a factor in the crash, according to the CHP.

An autopsy was scheduled for today, a coroner's office spokeswoman said.
