Dozens of Vehicle Accidents, as Rain Plagues North Bay
The CHP reports 40 accidents in Sonoma County since 6 a.m.

Continuing rains have plagued drivers, causing numerous accidents throughout Sonoma County today.
As of 2:30pm Tuesday, there were a total of 40 collisions, according to the California Highway Patrol. Most were non-injury collisions, with a few minor injuries. All have been due to drivers not adjusting their speed for the wet conditions.
Just after noon, a man driving a '99 BMW on the southbound Farmers on ramp onto SR 12, when he spun out of control, striking a CHP patrol car, on site monitering a previous colision. Neither party was hurt, but the on ramp was closed for 45 minutes.

Not even two hours later, a four-vehicle collision closed the northbound 101 connection to SR 12 for 40 minutes.
The CHP warns drivers to turn on their headlights while driving in rain, and to reduce speeds, and following distances, accordingly.
